EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that helps people recover from distressing life experiences by processing traumatic memories through bilateral stimulation, typically eye movements. By focusing on the memory while the therapist guides these movements, EMDR helps the brain to naturally reprocess the event, reducing its emotional charge and allowing it to be stored as a normal memory rather than a current threat.
